Dodo is a platform that allows you to calculate your company's carbon footprint in just a few minutes. Check out our guide below on how to get everything set up.

Step 1: Create your account 

Follow the link from dodo.eco to reach our account sign-up page. Complete the fields here and hit 'Start your 7-day free trial' to get started.  

Step 2: Connect in two steps 

You'll be directed to the 'Measure' page, where you can connect your accounting software directly. (Don't see your integration? Get in touch with us at support@dodo.eco) You can check out all our integrations here. 

Connecting to your accounting software allows you to automatically measure your emissions in real-time. 

Click on 'Link your account' and select the accounting software that you use. We will only import the information required to support the emissions calculation of your company, and your data is fully protected by bank-grade security. 

Step 3: Adjust your emissions 

Once the connection has been set up, you will be redirected back to Dodo. You will need to wait 10 seconds while we import, categorise, and generate emissions for your expenses. 

If you don't see all of your expenses, wait a few minutes and refresh the page. 

Once these have been imported, you will see that some of these have been categorised and some of them haven't. 

Click the Edit button to add or adjust the category. If you want to exclude an item, just click the Exclude button at the top of the page. 

Step 4: Add a building 

Once you've categorised all of your expenses, you can add your building or office emissions! You can find this under the Buildings tab. 

Generating your building's emissions can be done in two ways:

1. If you know your emissions, you can add these directly 

2. If you don't know your emissions, we can provide estimates based on the building's average size 

To get started:

• Click Add a building

• Give your building a name, choose the average size and the building location

• Add in the figures under each section. If you don't know the figures just hit No, and your emissions will be generated automatically

Step 5: Add a card and create your sustainability profile 

Congrats on calculating your company's carbon footprint! Head on over to the 'Analyse' page to see a breakdown and analyse your emissions further. 

Go to https://app.dodoeco.com/account/subscription to finalise your account subscription. 

We will automatically measure your emissions each month and purchase carbon offsets on your behalf if this is selected. 

Once you've added your payment details, you can then create your public sustainability profile. Add your logo, company name, and tagline to create a unique profile that you can share with others. You can see an example here.
